Christchruch, Queenstown, Dunedin, Home

This is going to be short and sweet, it is almost 10 pm here on the 21 of august and I am beat.
1) A bunch of us went to Christchurch a few weekends ago to see the All-Blacks play in a rugby game against the Australians. As usual, NZ won and then went out to drink more than they should have. Not the kids, but the adults. Never have I seen so many drunk 60-80 year olds in my life. Cougar hunting at its best
2) Sara, Tim (a kid from Tenn) and I went to the Speights brewery tour last weekend. It was interesting and all, but the free beer at the end was worth its weight in gold.
3) Sara and I are staying in Queenstown with some family friends of hers that moved here from Iowa. They are wonderful and this is the first time in the past 2 ish months that I have felt totally relaxed. Well... I guess we did go bungie jumping today at the AJ Hackett NEVIS jump. It is 134m (400+ ft.) high and takes around 8.4 seconds for you to reach the bottom. It was the weirdest experience ever. You are nervous, but not really scared. The worst part of the entire thing is when they are counting down from 3. You really have no time to think about it when they start so you start to bend your knees and right as they get to one you are supposed to dive off as far as possible. I did that but right as i was bending my knees to jump my brain just stopped (note that i jumped right away without a real delay, this is all just in my mind). And in my mind i could hear not myself, but my brain say "You dumb son of a bitch. 20 years. 20 years and you do this to." Well by the time the internal dialogue stopped i was 135 m below being swung upside-down and dangling from about 30 hair ties (legit- if you cut a hair tie to see the white rubber band like stuff you have a bungie cord in your hand). On this jump, being to high, you really cant do flips or tandem and since it takes longer to pull you up you have to pull a ripcord on the side of your leg to release your legs. after pulling this cord your legs swing down and you are hanging in a sitting position like you were repelling. Needless to say that cord did not work the first-16 times i tried to pull it. So finally halfway back up i was able to pull it and get the blood out of my head. Overall a sweet day. Sara and I are already planing on going to Macau to take on the tallest in the world. It is 250m tall. Talk about an addiction!
